Latino Art Exhibit at the Sheldon
TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art is an art exhibit featuring work by 48 contemporary artists such as Ana Mendieta, Perry Vasquez and Gustavo Artigas. The exhibit was organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, and it will run from November 1st through January 18 at the Sheldon Museum of Art.
Here is a slideshow of some of the artwork on display. The exhibit looks like a very diverse representation of the contemporary styles used by Latin American artists living in the United States and Latin America. There will be two guest speakers whose artwork will be on display in the exhibit, so check out Sheldon’s website for the schedule.
