‘This is Tango Now: Identidad’ uses the ferocious drama, passion and beauty of tango dancing to tell a moving human story of universal themes: will power, love, and the struggle for independence. Under the guidance of the mysterious Duende, the Marionette breaks free from her Puppeteer, and embarks on a journey of self-exploration, awareness, and discovery beyond her wildest dreams. With powerful dancing, live music, lights and pure spectacle, This is Tango Now: Identidad brings audiences of all ages to their feet.

The interdisciplinary Arts Symposium is sponsored by the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, presented, in part, by the Lied Center for Performing Arts, and funded, in part, by the Hixson-Lied Endowment. The 11-12 season is supported by the Cooper Foundation.
